BIOFONIA
aims to immerse audiences in the rainforest, depicting it as an auditory sanctuary and a focal point of culture, conflict, and chaos. The piece will be premiered in both Denmark and Brazil, initiating a dialogue between Brazilian and Western European cultures. The first movement offers a Western European perspective on the rainforest, while the second movement will reflect the viewpoint of the Guaraní people.
BIOFONIA is initiated by Mathias Madsen Munch, one of Denmark’s most prolific composers and entrepreneurs with regards to interactivity and public engagement.
OUROS ANIMATION (Rikke Planeta and Philip Piaget) develops the animated visuality for the audience to be immersed in the rainforest visually.
The project is shaped along with acclaimed musician Ronni Kot Wenzell and Anders Hentze, Country Manager (Instituto Cultural da Dinamarca).
